Charles "Chuck" S. Whiteside was born in Mora, MN June 24,1935 to Earl and Phoebe Whiteside. Chuck grew up working on the family farm. Chuck served in the Army 537th Engineering Company at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He worked for the Minnesota Highway Department before moving to Florida. In the early 70's he spent a short time working with Mondell Paving before starting his own company. Chuck enjoyed spending his summers in Minnesota and always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing cribbage. Chuck was an active member with the Masonic Lodge on the North Shore of Minnesota for many years.
Chuck was married to Peggy Palmer and was remarried to Loretta(Certo) Mattila.
Chuck is survived by his sons Robert Whiteside, Brian Whiteside, and Robert (Tathia) Mattila. 3 Grandchildren Riley Mattila, Carson Mattila, and Scout Mattila
Chuck was preceded in death by his siblings Earl Whiteside, Don Whiteside, and Lydia Corbett.
The Family will have a memorial gathering on Friday, December the 15th from 3pm-6pm at the Willow Bend Clubhouse 2 located at 3617 Hadjes Drive, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461.
