Charles “Duke” Schneider 78 of Greenacres, FL passed away suddenly on Oct. 11, 2017. Born in Belmar, NJ to Charles and Amelia (Molly) Schneider, he was their only child. Charlie retired from McCrory Inc. where he was a district manager with over 13 stores. He was a past board member of Buttonwood development where he lived for the last 12 years. Whoever knew Charlie, knew he loved the holidays and enjoyed decorating his house. This was something he did as a long time resident of Toms River NJ and continued when he moved to Florida. He was an avid Avon collector and he loved playing pool. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine, daughters Caryn Hemmer and husband Steve of Lake Worth FL and Cynthia Grabowski and husband John Jr. of Colts Neck, NJ, 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Hemmer and John and Daniel Grabowski and nephews Charles and Leslie Borges of Neptune, NJ. He will be forever missed as he always made sure everyone had a good time. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 from 10am-12pm at Dorsey E. Earl Smith followed by a gathering of friends at the Buttonwood Clubhouse 3370 Shadow Wood Drive, Greenacres from 1-4pm.
