Marian Elaine (Behnke) Johnson of Lake Odessa died on July 21, 2017. Always known as Elaine, she was born August 20, 1926 in Grand Rapids, daughter of Carl and Elsie Behnke.
Elaine is survived by Martin, her husband of 65 years, her sister Marjorie Benson, Ionia. She is also survived by three daughters: Anne (Larry) Adams, Linda Hanger (Michael Cole) all of Lake Odessa and Mary (Donald) Stanfill of Tawas City and six grandchildren, Kurt (Chantima), Karl (Channing) and Elizabeth Adams, Meredith (Rusty) Coleman, Joshua Hanger and Amanda Stanfill, also seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm at Koop’s Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Edward Church, Lake Odessa, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11am. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.
