Thelma V Theriot

She was born in Creole, LA to Calixte and Mary (Broussard) Bourriaque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Theriot, her parents, one daughter, Willa Dean Theriot Morris, three brothers and seven sisters.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son-in-law, William Morris of Lake Charles, four grandchildren, Cindy Morris Core and her husband Ray of Folsom, LA, Becky Morris Jenkins and her husband Luke of College Station, TX, Michael Morris and his wife Melanie of Carlyss, LA and Derinda Morris Mouton and her husband Val of Lake Charles, LA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Willie and Ryan Core, Garrison and Madeline Jenkins, Kelsey, Nicholas and Alexandra Morris and Debra Manuel, three great-great-grandchildren, Briar, Kanton and Bella.

Thelma was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm, with a rosary service at 6 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Visitation will resume at 9 am on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the funeral home until time of service. A mass of Christian Burial will at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Father Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Creole.
