Shielha Ann Nickel of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on July 11, 2024 at the age of 68. She was born on October 7, 1955 in Lake Charles where she lived most of her life.
She was actively involved in The Northern Star. She loved gardening, cooking, animals, and especially going to Galveston. Most of all she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Nickel; and father, Grover C. Boswell.
She is survived by her mother, Faye Boswell Bouchillon; daughters Nena A. Pickett, and Ellen Taylor; brothers James Boswell, and G. C. Boswell; sister Niona Whiddon; four Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild; many adored nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Hixson’s Funeral Home by Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler on July 15, 2024 at 11am. Visitation with the family will begin at 10am July 15, 2024.
