Millicent Denise Wherland

Millicent "Millie" Denise Wherland, age 78, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born March 30, 1946, to parents Dennis and Martha Delaune in Berwick, LA.

Millie was known to be one of the kindest people to her friends and family. Especially her beloved sisters, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She liked to read, do crossword puzzles, cook, spend quality time with her family, and play at the casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hebert; her parents, Dennis and Martha Delaune; son, Frederick William Wherland; brother, Dennis Jr.; and sister, Eunice Von Ferber.

Her memory will be fondly cherished by her daughter, Judie Thompson (Jeremy); grandchildren, Ireland Little and Tyson Fontenot; great-grandchildren, Ashilynn and Ashton Fontenot, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

The family has chosen to hold a private burial at a later date.
