He was loved and cherished by everyone who met him, and he never met a stranger. He was a very loving and compassionate man.
He graduated from LaGrange High School in 1970. He went to Hill Junior College for Auto Mechanics, Class of 1974 and W.O. Moss School of Respiratory and Delgado Community College in New Orleans for Respiratory Therapy. He was a Respiratory Therapist for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hodge Sorkow, two sons, Zachary Sorkow and wife Miranda, Alexander Sorkow, one daughter, Paige Sorkow, two grandchildren, Hunter Chase Sorkow and Bayli Claire Naquin, one brother Billy Sorkow, a niece, a nephew and numerous friends.
His wife Donna and his 3 children and 2 grandchildren were the loves of his life, as well as his 2 baby dogs and cat who he loved to play with. He enjoyed taking drives in his sports cars on beautiful days looking for donkeys and beautiful scenery. He also really enjoyed going to gun shows with his friends and children. His grandchildren were the sweetest things in his life and he loved watching them grow and spending time with them usually watching movies.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6 to 8pm. Visitation will resume Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11am til time of service. Funeral services are at 1pm, Thursday at Hixson Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathon Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
