Kathy Jo Fontenot

Kathy was born on June 29, 1972 in Welsh, LA and lived in Westlake, LA. She attended Welsh High School, where she played the trumpet in the band. She was a caregiver at CARC. She also enjoyed the outdoors; she never missed a chance to go fishing or camping and loved spending as much time as she could with her two awesome sons and family. She was an amazing lady, mother, sister, wife and aunt. She lived every day to the fullest extent, laughing and joking with family and friends. She was very generous, she loved helping others.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two awesome young men, Patrick Wayne Fontenot and Nicholas Guy Fontenot; her husband, Donald J. Veillon; two sisters, Suzanna M. Ponthieux and Patty G Soileau; her nephew, Alcee and countless uncles, aunts and loved ones. She loved her pets who will also miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene E. English and Helen J. Coble English.

Her service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00am until time of service. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
