Joycelyn Mary Bailey

Mary Joycelyn "Joyce "Doucet Labbie Bailey, age 80, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. She was born in Branch Louisiana to parents Gabriel "Gabe" Doucet and Lelia Matte on October 8, 1942.

Joyce attended elementary school in Branch, Louisiana, and graduated from Rayne High School in 1960.

She enjoyed spending time with family a friends, listening to gospel and french music, reading her bible, watching Nascar racing, and watching WWE Wrestling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years Donald Bailey, her 1st husband Carroll Labbie, her children; Donald "P.Nut" Bailey and Mary Labbie, her siblings; Gilford Doucet, Berlin Doucet,

and Bernadine Fusilier.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons; Carey Bailey and Melinda of Lake Charles LA, Carroll "Doo" Bailey and Mandy of Lake Charles, LA, her daughter Donna Bailey, her grandson; Zoey Bailey, her granddaughters; Lizza Church and husband Michael of Sulphur, LA, Allison Mudd and husband Mike of Bell City, LA, Samantha Smith and husband David of Lake Charles LA, Amy Fontenot and husband Clint of Longville, LA, Skylar Nope and husband Tad of Spring, TX, Onjele Bailey (Micheal Mudd) of Bell City , LA, her great-grandchildren; Calie Pitre of Florida, Caden Church of Sulphur, LA, Mason Smith of Lake Charles, LA, Noah Parker, and Brogan Fontenot. Longville, LA, Tanner and Avery Smith of Lake Charles, LA, MacAllen and Jack Nope of Spring, TX, Briggs Fontenot of Longville, LA

She also leaves behind her sisters; Betty Pine, of Sulphur, LA, and Shirley Bullock and husband Marlton of Branch, LA, her aunt Sybil Thibodeaux of Branch, LA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will welcome the public for visitation Sunday, June 18, 2023 at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home from 5pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Monday, June 19, 2023 at 9am until time of service at 10am. Burial will follow at Cameron First Baptist Church Cemetery.
