He was a native of Pecaniere, LA and was a resident of Lake Charles for the last 54 years. He was a graduate of Leonville High School and served four years in the Air Force. He also served as Scout Master with Troop 208 for 7 years. He was an electronic technician for over 50 years and owned and operated LaLonde’s TV Service for 20 years before retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Badeaux LaLonde of Lake Charles; three sons; Desmond Scott LaLonde and Karen of Lake Charles, Gregory Kirk LaLonde and Sheila of Ragley, and Christopher John LaLonde of Lake Charles; and one daughter, Chrystal LaLonde Katoch and husband, Vikram of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Connie LaLonde, Wayne LaLonde and wife, Liz, Joshuah LaLonde,and Kaetlin LaLonde, Noah and Kaleb Katoch; and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond LaLonde and wife, Evelyn of Carencro, LA and Ronald LaLonde and Connie of Houston, TX; two sisters, Grace Hardy and husband, Willie of Bayou Portage, LA and Norma Knott and husband, C.J. of Pecaniere, LA
He was preceded in death by his parents, Offie LaLonde and Marie Lanclos LaLonde, and one brother, Charles Ned LaLonde.
The service for Mr. LaLonde will be held at 1pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Jacob Conner will officiate. Visitation will begin Wednesday, 4pm-9pm with a rosary at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and will resume Thursday, 8am until service time.
