Born in Lake Charles LA on January 14, 1943, he was a longtime resident of Grand Chenier, LA, and later moved back to Lake Charles. Irvin worked for many years as a welder and was one of the best at his job.
He enjoyed being with his family the most. He loved being with his grandchildren, as they brought him a lot of joy. He loved the outdoors and cooking. He loved to BBQ and briskets were his specialty. He also loved to sit and watch football on the weekends and loved the Saints and LSU.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Creole, LA.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Landry; three Children, Patrick (Denise), Kevin (Ada) and Terry (Erin); four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Trahan; his father, Ervin Landry; his grandmother, Susan Trahan; and his grandfather, Charlie Trahan.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
