Helen Marie Rhodes Nunez

A mass of Christian Burial will be 1pm Friday, August 16, 2013 at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church. The Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-9pm Thursday, August 15 with a rosary at 7pm and will resume Friday 8am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Helen was always supportive and active in her sons’ endeavors as they were growing up. She was a lifelong bookkeeper for several local companies. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Woodman of the World, Red Hat Society, Calcasieu Council on Aging and many other senior groups in the Lake area. She was a volunteer for Women and Children's Hospital. She loved to care for others. She will be cherished and missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cline and Grace Rhodes; one brother, Cecil Rhodes.

She is survived by two sons, Carson Nunez of Austin, TX and Cline Nunez of Port Neches, TX; one granddaughter, Samantha Nunez of Port Neches, TX.
