She was born in Creole, LA, lived there most of her life, then moved to Grand Lake. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church as well as a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Daughters and Altar Society in Creole. She was a retired hairdresser and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Clarice LaFosse and husband, Marshall of Grand Lake, Carolyn Daniels of Lake Charles; step son, Michael Hebert of Houma; step daughters, Brenda Landry of Thibodeaux, Lynette Breaux of Labieville, Juanita Thibodeaux of Thibodeaux and Karen Naquin of Thibodeaux; brother-in-law, Rev. Joseph Elmo Hebert;18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Hebert; parents, Gabriel Richard and Alida Richard; brothers, P.D. Richard, Leslie Richard and sister, Annie V. LeBouef.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Rev. Wayne LeBleu and Rev. Joseph Elmo Hebert will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Mudd, Mike Mudd, Grey Mudd, Jerry Corley, Chris Daniels and Gabie Daniels. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m. and continuing on Friday from 8 a.m. til the time of service. Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 7 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Priscilla Dupree, Ann Touchet, Jerica Nunez, Sharon Furs and Charlotte Vallo for their loving care.
