Aldon Duhon, 91, passed away February 2, 2018 nine days shy of his 92nd birthday, after a long fulfilled life.
He was the only son of Adrian and Aline Duhon of the Grand Lake area. He enlisted to serve in United States Navy during WWII, upon his honorable discharge he chose Thelma to be his bride in 1948. Married for 53 years, together establishing Duhon’s Vacuum Repair Service, living a full life enjoying Cajun French music and dancing, as well as the challenges that the techno-era brought in and upon retirement from Cities Service Oil Company he enjoyed time with his family.
Survived by his two daughters, Jean Duhon English (Greg) of Sulphur, LA and Susan Durant of Fort Worth, TX, four grandchildren, Denys LeBlanc (Josh) of Sweet Lake, LA, James English of Lake Charles, LA, Christopher Guidry of Houston, TX, Jason Kyle Guidry of Fort Worth, TX and five great grandchildren, Sgt. Michael Guy USMC (Michelle) of North Carolina, Sebastian Guy of Nashville, TN, Bayli Rayne English of Lake Charles, LA, Nicholaus Guidry of Waco, TX, Gabrielle Stewart of Fort Worth, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, with a rosary at 6pm. Visitation to resume on Friday at 8am until time of service at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cathedral at 10am.
