Mr. Paul Kinnard "Kenny" Murray of LaGrange, KY, son of the late Carl and Christine Murray, was born on July 14, 1944, and departed this life on November 29, 2023 at Baptist East in Louisville, KY. He was 79 years old.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church growing up. Kenny was stricken with polio at the young age of 6, however, this did not affect his determination to live life to the fullest. He had an imaginative skill when it came to art and expressed this talent with his hands and mind. Kenny later attended Western Kentucky University majoring in Secondary Education with a minor in Sociology. He later attended Campbellsville College where he obtained a master’s degree majoring in Sociology with a minor in Art. Kenny taught at Thomas Jefferson High School, Moore High School, and retired from teaching at the Luther Luckett Correctional Center in LaGrange. Kenny had a loving appreciation for nature and animals and displayed this passion in his artwork. Kenny had a love for fishing and the outdoors. He was an inspiration to all and loved the Lord, his family, and friends dearly with every fiber of his being. Kenny always enjoyed family gatherings, game nights, and spending time with his friends and loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Danny Murray, his brother Glen Murray, and a niece-in-law, Cathy Murray.
Survivors include one son, Dean Paul Murray and his wife Jessica of LaGrange. Three grandchildren, Kayleigh Renee Stoner, Brayden Paul Murray, and Samantha Kate Murray, all of Lagrange, a great-granddaughter, Gianna Stoner, a brother and sister-in-law, David and Maggie Murray of Greensburg, nieces and nephew; Rhonda and Terry Curry of Richmond, Michelle and Greg Corbin of Greensburg and Shawn Murray of Greensburg.
A celebration of Kenny's life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 3pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 with visitation starting at Noon until the start of the service. Kenny will later be buried in Greensburg, KY at Bethlehem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, The Wounded Warrior Project, or the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg, Ky.
