Kenneth Scott Freeman, born December 29, 1939 in Tacoma, Washington, was called home on September 28, 2023. Ken was a faithful member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, where he participated in the church choir making many lasting and loving friendships. Ken had a servant’s heart; working for The Neighborhood Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross crisis relief team.
Ken served his country as a member of the United States Army for 24 years, which took him overseas for two tours in Vietnam. Ken earned meritorious service medals and citations for diverse missions and was the recipient of several bronze stars.
Ken had many interests: reading, photography, driving, watching various sporting events and breaking bread with friends. But his favorite pastime was traveling and living full time in his motorhome with his greatest love, wife Katie, and their many rescue dogs.
Ken is preceded in death by parents Walt and Vivian Freeman, sister Elizabeth, brother Steve, and son, Master Sergeant Kenneth Scott Freeman II.
Ken’s love continues with wife Katie, daughter Kristin, stepson Max and wife Aimee, daughter- in-law Donna and grandchildren: Emma and husband Michael Rea, Grace, Olivia, Ross and Tessa and his extended loving family members from Owensboro, Kentucky. Also, fur babies, Scotty, Bella, Simon and Nigel.
