She was born in Miami, Florida on August 16, 1995. Kaylee was a graduate of the class of 2013 from South Oldham High School where she was a standout volleyball player. She continued her education and volleyball at Spalding University before graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
Kaylee enjoyed teaching math at Echo Trail Middle School, where she also got to continue her love for volleyball as a coach. She was an avid reader and proud to be a Swiftie! Above all, Kaylee loved spending time with her little girl, Valerie.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gerry and Bill Lyons and Ralph McCartney.
Left to cherish the memory of Kaylee are her husband, Michael Salamon; daughter, Valerie Mae Salamon; parents, Gregg and Sandy Gallas, Robert McCartney; siblings, Riley McCartney, Chad Gallas (Micah), and Ryan Gallas (Paige); grandmother, Hudes McCartney; mother and father-in-law, Laura and John Salamon; brother-in-laws, Mark and Alek Salamon; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A private celebration of Kaylee's life will be held at a later date.
