She was born on December 1, 1954 to the late John and Mildred Lukas in Garfield Heights, Ohio.
Gail was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, an accomplished golfer, and a favorite past time was skiing. She had a knack for seeking out bargains, and her negotiation skills were impeccable.
Most of all, she dearly loved her family and friends. Gail embodied motherhood; always caring, loving, and providing for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Although she grew up in a small family, she was embraced by, and became an integral part of, a large family. Gail was welcomed as not just an in-law, but a sister and friend.
Left to cherish the memory of Gail are her husband of 40 years; Robert "Bob" Martinko, children; Valerie Smith-Martinko (Nicholas Smith), Brian Martinko and Daniel Martinko (Julia), 4 grandchildren; Kaylee Melvin, Melonica Smith, Whittaker Smith and Elias Martinko, sister; Kathleen Lukas Rosenberg, nephew; Jason Rosenberg, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Gail's life will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Memorial donations can be made in Gail's name to American Cancer Society.
