Charles Lee Williams

Charles “Charlie” Lee Williams, 83, husband of Martha Abshear Williams, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at his home in Buckner, KY after a short illness. He was born March 22, 1939, in La Grange, Kentucky to the late J.D. and Mary Lee Williams. He was retired from Clayton & Lambert Manufacturing Company and was a longtime member of Buckner Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Chris Williams, Bedford, KY; Tim (Shirley) Williams, Waxhaw, NC; Debbie (Eddie) Kinberger, Crestwood, KY; Jeff (Candice) Abshear, La Grange, KY; grandchildren, Leslie Williams-Lacy, Waxhaw, NC; Rachel (Brad) Williams, Richmond, KY; Scotti (Jess) Williams, Poteau, OK; SSgt Dylan (Savannah) Williams, McGuire AFB, NJ; Jordan Williams, Waxhaw, NC; Jennifer (Chris) Powell, Bedford, KY; Will (Tasha) Kinberger, La Grange, KY; Justin (Gabrielle) Abshear, La Grange, KY; and Abigail (Devon) Shields, Smithfield KY; 10 great-children and one on the way; sister, Tammy Williams, Frankfort, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins as well as life-long friends, Jimmy and Debbie Peyton and Bradley Peyton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, J.D. Williams, Jr., Larry (Tad) Williams, and Brenda Williams Stivers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from Noon until time of service at 2pm. Visitation and service will be held at Buckner Christian Church, 2714 Old Cedar Point Road, Buckner, KY by Brother Mike Brady with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations to be made to Buckner Christian Church.
