He is survived by his lovely wife Dolores Neil; nephews, Scott Neil, David Neil and Jim Neil; nieces, Arlean James, Lila James and Mary Ann Jeffers; brother-in-law, Anthony James, Wallace (Margaret) Simmons; sister-in-law, Barbara Neil.
Mr. Neil is a veteran of the United States Army. He was a musician and enjoyed playing the piano. He also was an outdoorsman with a love for flowers and nature.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. The gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to the Troup County Humane Society.
