Marcie Sherrer, 95, of LaGrange, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2022 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.
Mrs. Sherrer was born December 23, 1926 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late William Anderson Cadenhead and Montana Brown Cadenhead. She was a faithful member of LaGrange First Baptist Church on the Square, where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the Merry Makers. Marcie also was very active at Dalton First Baptist Church while living up there. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Sherrer; sons-in-law, Steve Hood and Jim Orr; sister, Alma Smith; and brothers, Harold Cadenhead and Wayne Cadenhead.
Survivors include her children, Thelia Hood, Eddie (Rose) Sherrer, and Elizabeth (Loy) Phelps; grandchildren, Sara (Joel) Ostrander, Zack Hood, Jason (Jenna) Sherrer, and John (Danielle) Sherrer; great grandchildren, Ella Cate Sherrer and Hayden Sherrer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00pm Sunday, March 20, 2022 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Paul Baxter, Rev. Paul Blair and Pastor Cade Farris officiating. The Visitation will be prior from 3:00pm until service time. A Private Family burial will follow.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to West Georgia Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice in memory of Marcie Sherrer.
