Mr. Hardy, known by most of his friends as “Duck” or “Porkchop”, was born June 9, 1958 in Franklin, GA, son of Thelma Hollaway Hardy and the late Charlie Jackie Hardy. He had lived in LaGrange most of his life and attended New Hope Baptist Church, Heard County, GA.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Thelma Hardy, include his wife, Janie Hardy, two step children, Matthew Moore and Leslie Moore; one grandchild; two brothers, Kenneth Hardy and Carl Hardy; six nieces; one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Craig Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Heard County, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
