Emma Jean Hamrick

Mrs. Hamrick was born May 12, 1933 in Cleburne County, AL, daughter of the late Idus and Lillie B. (Cook) Harris. She was retired from Playtex, where she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Hamrick was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church and the Troup Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Daniel Hamrick.

Survivors include her son, H. Dwight (Vicki) Hamrick of Pine Mountain; a sister Wilmath (Paul) Towler of Tucker; a brother, Clellon (Joyce) Harris of Bremen; grandchildren, Courtney M. (Rocky) Millenbine of West Point and Caitlyn M. Hamrick of Savannah; a nephew, Mike (Linda) Harris of Newnan; and a niece Sherri (Anthony) Adkison of St. Augustine, FL.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Rev. Bobby Robinson and Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Saturday.
