Carey was born in Roanoke, AL to the late, Luther T. Baker and Irma Head Baker of Roanoke, AL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Jane Borders Baker; sisters, Mildred Baker Jones and Irma Baker Green.
He is survived by his nieces, Brenda Jones of Roanoke, AL Cindy Jones Lanham of Madison, AL and Vicki Green of Oxford, AL.
Carey was an Army Veteran who proudly served his country. He was a devoted husband and family man.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, Georgia on October 12, 2024.
The Committal Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. in the Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke, AL on the same day.
