Marie Myrtle Otto, age 83, of Bonita, California passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
It is with deep sorrow that we reflect on the life and legacy of Past Grand President of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Marie M. Otto, whose unwavering dedication spanned an incredible 68 years.
Marie was born to Earnest F. Otto and Marie S. Otto in San Diego, California on November 7, 1940. Her father was born in San Diego and her mother was born in Wisselsheim, Germany. Marie grew up in San Diego, attending San Diego High School and San Diego State College graduating in 1962. She worked for a law firm for 28 years and also was a participant in the family floral business on weekends and holidays. She was called back to Our Lord two days before her 84th birthday on November 5, 2024.
Marie was not just a leader, she was a guiding light embodying the very essence of community and friendship.As we remember Marie, let us honor her extraordinary contributions and continue her legacy of service and camaraderie within and without our vibrant communities.
