Joyce Dirksen (Szemraj), 77, of San Diego, passed away on 11/25/2024. Joyce was born to Peter and Regina Szemraj in Stanley, WI. She was raised in Edgar, WI with her sister Judy. Joyce was a proud mother and actively participated in her children’s lives through baseball and Girl Scouts. She was an incredible cheerleader and the biggest fan of her grandsons on and off of the baseball field. Joyce worked at Ross Elementary School for 20+ years and always enjoyed helping children at the school. She was also an avid bingo player and would take off randomly to Vegas with her friend Lonnie, just because they could. Joyce was predeceased by her mother, father, and sister. She is survived by her children Dominic (Esther) Dirksen and Candy (Robert) Allen and two amazing grandsons (Benjamin and Xander). Joyce will be laid to rest next to her parents in Edgar, WI.
