Richard was born on October 15, 1947 in Harlingen. He grew up in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on the family hacienda with his two brothers and sister. Richard was drafted into the army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. After he completed his service as a decorated Sergeant, he moved back to Mexico where he worked as a farmer throughout Mexico and Central America.
Richard was a family oriented man who enjoyed sharing his time with his loved ones. His skill with his hands, understanding of mechanics, and inquisitive nature lead him to develop a wide range of hobbies from leather working and gem cutting to horticulture and car restoration.
His good humored nature and quick wit are celebrated and remembered by his surviving wife, son, daughter, son in law, granddaughter, brother, sister, extended family and friends.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday Nov. 10 from 4-7PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home at 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria TX.
