Norma Gonzalez

Norma was born in Harlingen to the late Robert and Elida Barrera. Norma was a loving wife and mother. She lived her life serving the Lord as a devout Christian. Her love and kindness had no bounds. As her health declined, she would often be found praying and caring for others. When most would have given up, her faith grew stronger. Her spirit and resilience will forever live in the hearts of those that she touched with her love and prayer.

Norma is survived by her devoted husband of fifty years, Gaudencio (Lencho) Gonzalez, who was by her side in sickness and health; her children Richard Gonzalez (Claudia); Norma Sepulveda (Eric); Priscilla Gonzalez; Adriana Gonzalez; Ruby Gonzalez; sisters Rose Mary Huerta (+Joe), Sandra Villarreal (Santos), Sylvia Michele (Robert), Anna Beth Garza (Dennis), Linda Gallardo; brothers Richard Barrera, Sammy Barrera, Ralph Cavazos Jr.; grandchildren Richard Anthony, Richard Jr., Aaron Michael, Roland, Eric Lane, Evan Lee, Socorro, Nicole; and four great grandchildren Hennessey, Damian, Kaleb, Julian all of whom miss her dearly and will forever cherish her memory.

Norma was preceded in death by her son's Gustavo Gonzalez and Gaudencio Gonzalez Jr..

Visitation for Norma will be held Monday, June 29, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
