Nilsa Emilia Guerra

She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and friend. A pious woman whose love of God was shared with anyone who came across her. She was described by her family as a compassionate woman full of life with a beautiful smile that was one of a kind. Nilsa's beautiful soul will forever be remembered and deeply missed.

Nilsa is survived by her children Darrell Ivan Guerra (Ana Guerra); Elvin Rene Guerra (Ashley Guerra); David Daniel Guerra; and Norberto Ignacio Guerra Jr.; her sisters Ada Nivia Ruiz Serrano and Catalina Ruiz Serrano. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Nilsa was preceded in death by her parents Segundo Ruiz and her Julia Serrano; her daughter Sandra Sue Guerra; her siblings Alfredo Ruiz; Jaime Ruiz; Arnoldo Ruiz Serrano; Nieves Omar Ruiz Serrano; Elvin Ruiz Serrano; Segundo Ruiz Serrano Jr.; Neggie Eniada Ruiz Serrano; Evelia Ruiz Serrano and Noelia Ruiz Serrano; her grandson Norberto "Trey" Ignacio Guerra III.

A visitation for Nilsa will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
