My prayers are with you all as you navigate this time without the cornerstone to your family, with you in spirit now. Larry was the kindest person, always helpful, devoted to his family and friends and dutiful. I will always remember how proud, loving and supportive he was, and always so glad to see me after a long absence. It has been years since I have seen him, but I remember his warm smile & hugs and will always remember him so fondly. He and Barbara were so good to me as I had my own health struggles and buoyed me when my spirits were low. May the strength your family shares carry you through the loss of your beloved patriarch. Rest well, Larry, you are so loved.

In 2015, I went to Harlingen with my friend Peri Taylor to visit her family.  I was able ride down to South Padre Island with Larry.  I didn't know him very well, but we had a great trip and talked all the way down and back.  He made me feel so comfortable.  We talked about his work in the Border Patrol, I could relate to that because my Uncle was retired Border Patrol.  He was a very sweet man, and I know his family and  friends are missing him.  Rest In Peace Larry, and remember that you are loved and missed.


I have known Larry Jackson since I was a little kid growing up in Olmito, Texas. Over the years I would speak with him ever so often in the field as I was in State Law Enforcement and he was with the U.S. Border Patrol. Knew all his brothers as well. As of late he would/could not answer his phone as I would call every so often. Sorry for your passing always enjoyed your company. RIP

Larry was a dear friend to me & my late husband while living in Harlingen.  Distance in miles, whether small or large amount, Larry was always a help when needed.  He was the greatest equipment manager for our Little League Girls Softball program,  fun person on road trips with the All Star teams and a terrific role model for all the youth around him.  Great memories.  Rest in Peace L J in  our Lord's home.

I have known Larry, (Coach Jackson or Assistant Chief Jackson) for most of my life. He was my softball all star coach when I was a young girl and then I had the pleasure of working within the same agency with him (USBP). He was a kind man, always smiling; he will be sorely missed. God bless you coach, Chief, mentor, friend. 

Mr . Jackson was one of the finest Border Patrol Agents I had the privilege of working for in my career.   He was a man of his word and treated his agents with respect.  He always greeted you by name and took a moment to talk to you.    He was one of the reasons McAllen Sector worked together so well.    May he Rest In Peace.   

Larry Jackson was one of a kind. He was the finest example of a Border Patrol Agent and a good man. He will be missed by more than a few. RIP Larry.
