Jose Pena Jr.

Jose loved spending time with his family and friends. His, children and grandchildren were the joy of his heart. Jose’s love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evident in his service and devotion to his church. His passion was composing songs and singing praises to our Lord, and he absolutely loved to tell jokes. And even though we are so brokenhearted, we take comfort in knowing that our beloved Jose is finally home, resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jose is survived by his daughters Julie Ann Pena-Martinez and Jo LaVonne Pena, and sons Joseph Brian Pena and Jose Pena, III, grandchildren Amber, Ashley and Alyssa Martinez, Roxanne and Qianna Chavez and Ezra Barrios and Mason, Mia and Makayla Pena, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jose is also survived by10 brothers and sisters: Maria Guadalupe (Lou), Juanita Feliciano (Carlos), Ester Rodriguez (Ramon), Noemi Garza (Jose Luis), Rachel Dobson, Abraham Pena (Mari), Benjamin Pena (Mary), Beatrice Benavides (Rudy), Lilly Brain (David), Ruth Gomez (James).

Jose was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Donovan Pena.

Funeral services will be held at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park in La Feria, TX on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with viewing from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. and service at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at House of Hope Church on M Street Harlingen, TX at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX
