It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Casas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and comedian, who left us on September 28, 2024, at the age of 67. Bobby was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew him, known for his infectious laughter, warm spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Born in 1957, Bobby’s early years were filled with adventure and curiosity. After proudly serving his country during the Persian Gulf era, he returned home with stories to share and a passion for life that only deepened. His military service instilled in him a sense of duty and honor, which he carried into every aspect of his life.
Bobby was not just a veteran; he was a natural entertainer. His quick wit and humor made him a cherished comedian, lighting up stages and gatherings with laughter. His ability to connect with people through laughter was one of his greatest gifts, and he loved nothing more than making those around him smile.
A devoted family man, Bobby found his greatest joy in his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a nurturing father who taught his kids the values of love, hard work, and laughter. As a grandfather, he reveled in the delight of his grandchildren, always ready to share stories, strum his guitar, or embark on spontaneous adventures. His home was a haven of music and laughter, where family gatherings became legendary celebrations.
Music was Bobby's true passion. An avid guitarist and songwriter, he poured his heart into every note he played. Whether recording original songs or jamming with friends, music was his language—a way to express his emotions and connect with others. He had a deep appreciation for American muscle cars and motorcycles, often seen cruising the open road, embodying the freedom he cherished.
Bobby was the center of everything—a magnetic force that drew people together. His love for life and those around him created an unbreakable bond with family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and music that will resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Coral Casas; his son Bryan Casas; his daughters Caru Casas; his daughter Emma Casas; his daughter-in-law Morgan Casas; and his son-in-law Arturo Vizcaino; his grandson Aldo Vizcaino and his grandson Luka Casas.; and a host of friends and family who will forever cherish his memory.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father Arculano Casas and his mother Emma Casas; his brother Javier Casas; his sister Gloria Hernandez and his sister Irasema Casas.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559. A burial will occur Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572.
