Alfredo Balderas

Alfredo served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1969 as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. He worked at TSTC as an Associate Dean of Vocational Programs. In addition he served as a math professor whom his students loved. He loved the Lord and shared the word of God through bible studies every week at noon when he was at TSTC. Alfredo loved gardening, reading, fishing, football especially the San Benito Greyhounds, word puzzles, and feeding the birds.

Alfredo is survived by his adoring wife, Rita C. Balderas; his loving daughter, Patricia M. Balderas and her partner, Orlando L. Soza; his daughter-in-law, Suzanne Gonzales; his grandsons, Onesimus Mark Balderas and Julian Agustine Yanez; his daughter, Dr. Guadalupe A. Flores and her spouse, Stephen Shepherd, and granddaughter Adrianne Waller; his son, Guillermo Flores III and his spouse, Carol Flores, and grandsons Guillermo Flores and Indigo Flores; his daughter, Anita E. Opel and her spouse, Robert Opel; his sister, Frances Silvas; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe Balderas and Francisca Cortez Balderas; his siblings, Aurora, Berta, Guadalupe, Paula, Carlos, Doroteo; and his son, Mark Nolan Balderas.

A Celebration of Life for Alfredo will occur Monday, July 17, 2023 from 9AM-11AM with a placement at 11AM.
