Vicki Lynn Vetter

Vicki Lynn Vetter, 72, was freed from her earthly body to be alive in Christ at 7:17 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2023. She was surrounded by family and friends the weeks leading up to her death at home in Indianapolis, Indiana after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Vicki will be remembered as an incredible mother, doting grandmother, devoted daughter, life-long best friend, aunt, cousin, and sister. Vicki was born in Kokomo, Indiana on April 27,1950 to Herman and Marjorie (Kline) Vetter. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1968. In 1985, she graduated from Indiana University Kokomo with a degree in nursing. She worked as an RN for 27 years. Vicki was a voracious reader, skilled gardener, an avid endurance athlete, and a life-long student of the Word of God. She embraced life with gusto, creating memorable experiences for her grandchildren and weathering the storms of life with her strong unwavering faith in Christ. She wishes to be remembered as a resilient follower of Jesus who quietly shared His love to all. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and brother Fredrick (Fritz) Vetter. Vicki is survived by her children Toni Renee Young, Bryan (Kelly) Young, and Lindsey (Matthew) Addington and her eight grandchildren: Elijah McCord, Hope McCord (Toni Renee’s children); Allison Young, Nolan Young (Bryan’s children); Emma Zander, Zachary Zander, Kaleb Addington, and Ella Addington (Lindsey’s children). Vicki will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation for Vicki is Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, IN 46901. Services will be officiated by Pastor Lynn Brust. Burial will follow to Kokomo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.
