 Obituario de Timothy Lucas
"Blame it all on his roots, he showed up in his boots." Timothy Lucas passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon on May 28, 2022. He was born on May 31, 1966 in Lexington, Kentucky and later raised in Kokomo with his siblings. When Tim was 25 he and his brother, James, started Tru Cut Tree Service, a tree business that thrived. During this time Tim also discovered his passion for homing pigeons, where he started Champ Camp Racing Lofts, quickly falling in love with the sport. As with everything Tim did, he put his all into both things and will always be known as "The Bird Man." Tim worked from sunup to sundown to provide for his family because anyone who knew him knew that his family was his world. Tim could either be found with his kids and grandkids who he loved more than anything. On most days you could find him blasting Zac Brown Band tending to his flying rats. He loved old Westerns or sitting in the dark watching "Women Who Kill." If someone could drag him out of his house long enough or his granddaughter was temporarily out of his shadow, you could find him at his favorite local watering hole, The Hoosier Bar, surrounded by friends and buying everyone's first round. Tim never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt on his back. Tim met Tawnya when they were kids and they fell in love and grew to have and raise two daughters together, who quickly became his reason for living. Tim is survived by his daughters MaKayla "Leenus" Lucas and Kaitlyn "Baby Ruth" Lucas and her husband Brandt Harris; grandkids Addyson "Babyface" Shockley and Parker "Porkchop" Lucas-Harris; mother Patsy "Pat" Lucas; brothers James "Jimmy" Lucas Jr and his wife Amy and their children Brittany and Emily Lucas, and Kenny Lucas and his wife Kandi and their children Andrew (Christen) and Tyler (Karly) Lucas; uncle Thomas "Tom" Lucas; and many other family members who loved Tim dearly. He was preceded in death by his father James Lucas, and his uncle Jay Lucas. A public visitation for Tim will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Tim will be laid to rest in Albright Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ellersmortuarywebster.com for the Lucas family.
