Myra K. Snodgrass, 69, Russiaville, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Northwoods Village. She was born October 10, 1941, in Kokomo, to Gerald Ellis and Mary Katherine (Eckles) Ellerbrook. On November 20, 1993, she married David Snodgrass, and he survives.
She graduated from Kokomo High School and attended Ivy Tech. She worked at Delco until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling and attended Faith United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Mike Dodrill, Muncie; one step-son, Steve Snodgrass, Indianapolis; two daughters, Robin (Tony) Nelson, Greentown, and Ronda (Jason) Renner, Indianapolis; two step-daughters, Robin Shoemaker, Frankfort, and Carla Snodgrass, Lafayette; five grandchildren, Trisha Carty, David Renner, Josh Renner, Amanda Nelson, and Jake Nelson; four step-grandchildren, Nick Shoemaker, Stuart Snodgrass, Rachel Snodgrass, and Ethan Snodgrass; four brothers, Eugene “Bud” (Colleen) Ellis, Kokomo, Dale (Barb Ann) Ellis, Kokomo, Max (Carolyn) Ellis, Russiaville, and Dan (Christy) Ellis, Kokomo; two sisters, Barbara Jean (Jim) McCombs, Kokomo, and Devona (Jerry) Forrest, Iron River, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be at 1p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes, or Faith United Methodist Church.
