Ellen "Weezie" Louise Waite

Ellen Louise “ Weezie” Waite, 88, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 12, 2017 at Waterford Place in Kokomo, Indiana. Louise was born to Robert and Sena (Geisler) Miller on May 11, 1929 in Idaville, Indiana.

Louise married LaMarr Waite on Christmas Eve of 1954.They lived in Chesterton, Indiana together. Lamarr and Louise enjoyed traveling together and had visited all 50 States, except Alaska and Hawaii. When Lamarr passed away, Louise moved to Kokomo to be closer to her siblings. She loved her dogs. Louise also liked to garden, play crossword puzzels and card games, and mushroom hunt. She was a Cardinals fan, and liked to watch baseball. Every Friday, she enjoyed garage sales. She and Lamarr were very patriotic and attended the Navy Reunions together. Louise attended In His Image Church.

Louise is survived by her siblings, Florence Johnson of Delphi, Lulu Belle Stidham of Monticello; Becky (Rick) Satterthwaite of Kokomo, Kenny (Judy) Miller of Burnettsville, Darlene (Ralph) Strik of Kokomo, and Shirley (Dave) Heffelmire of Kokomo; and many nieces and nephews.

Louise is preceded in passing by her husband, LaMarr Waite; her parents; brothers Leslie Miller, Richard Miller, and infant sister Cora Miller.

Friends and family may call from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday December 15, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Brad Swain.
