He graduated Kokomo High School in 1954 and married the love of his life, Reba Waddell, October 12, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Windfall, Indiana. Bob served in the National Guard for 10 years. He worked as an electrician for Delco Electronics and retired in 1998 after 30 years of service.
Bob loved being outdoors, especially if he was fishing or golfing. He was a family man, and the patriarch. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always loved joking around with them.
He was a member of One Church in Kokomo.
He is survived by his wife Reba Hale; children Steven (Ronda) Hale and Matthew (Cheryl) Hale; grandchildren Adam (Jessica) Hale of Lexington, KY, Patrick Hale of Keller, TX, Meghan (Michael) Baldwin of Kokomo, IN, Ryan (Shanda) Hale of Saint Wendel, IN, Lauren (Jacob) Dill of Evansville, IN, Kelsey (Ryan) Sermersheim of Evansville, IN; step sister Carolyn Hill; step brother Bob Deschamps; sister-in-law Ruth Edwards. He also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Bob is preceded in death by his siblings Vivian Smith, Margie Phillips, Patty Ann Hale, David Hale, Rex Hale; grandson Chad McIntire; step mother Juanita Hale; father-in-law Floyd Waddell; mother-in-law Ethel Waddell; and brothers-in-law John Waddell and Gene Edwards.
A public visitation for Bob will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Jeff Russell.
