Billy Jay Rayle

Billy Jay Rayle, age 93, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away in Kokomo, Indiana on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on April 24, 1928 to Harley and Helen Rayle. On December 27, 1950 in Marion, Indiana he married Arlene Heller, the love of his life, who passed away in August 2017.

Bill attended both Kokomo and Marion schools. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII from 1945 to 1947 as a radarman in the South Pacific.

Bill retired as Traffic Manager at Kokomo Spring Company in 1993 after 39 1/2 years.

He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. He loved golfing and wintering in Florida with his wife. Bill was a faithful member of Judson Road Christian Church.

Bill is survived by three children: Becky (Michael) Welch of Winamac, IN, Ronald (Melony) Rayle of Westfield, IN, and David Rayle of Kokomo, IN; one brother, Preston (Nancy) Crawford of Osage Beach, MO, and one brother-in-law, Keith Heller of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Susan Cohee of Peru, Indiana, Daniel Welch (Heather) of Canton, Ohio, Joseph Welch (Lindsey) of Mooresville, Indiana, Kayla Holajter (Chad) of Evergreen Colorado, Amber Edberg (Chris) of Chicago, Illinios and Marisa Allison (Michael) of Carmel, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren, Noah Cohee of Wabash, Indiana, Kendall, Charlotte, Cora and Kambree Holajter of Evergreen Colorado, Molly Welch Canton, Ohio, Amelia and Luke Edberg of Chicago, Illinios and Claire and Isabella Welch of Mooresville, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his son Larry Rayle, and his brother Harley Rayle Jr.

There will be a private service for Bill and he will be laid to rest beside his wife at Crown Point Cemetery with Military Honors. Gary Carpenter will officiate.
