Betty Jean Tyler, age 74, of Russiaville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born March 16, 1949 in Kokomo, Indiana, to Richard and Bernadean (Hickman) Beheler, where she grew up. She met and fell in love with Charles L. Tyler when she was 10 years old, telling a friend she would marry him some day, and she did! They were married May 6, 1967 and had 2 children. She loved shopping with best friend Debbie Lewis and sisters-in-laws Sharon and Sue Tyler. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, when she would bake cookies and make candies. She loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She was a second momma to all the neighborhood kids. She will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have known her.
Betty is survived by daughter, Kelly Prifogle & other half, David Roberts; son, Chuck Tyler & other half, Nancy Randolph; granddaughters, Deseree' (Sean) White, Heather (Bob) Best, Bobbi Bolen, and Alyssa Tyler & other half, Sam Patane; brothers, Jim (Heidi) Beheler, and Dick Beheler; as well as 6 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews (including her favorite, Mary Nail).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles L. Tyler; brother, Don Beheler; and sisters, Peggy Cole and Joyce Haworth.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 11am until the funeral service begins at 1pm, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.
