His name means "the Lord remembers"
He was definitely one chosen and uniquely set apart for the LORD God. He was one with high standards and a strong sense of justice. His character was pure and his heart was genuine. He was never fully understood by this world, but is with Jesus Who made him and fully understands him. He was filled with wisdom and applied it in all areas of his life. Graduating with highest honors from Paideia Academy in 2018, he entered UTs honors engineering department and worked faithfully as a research assistant in that same engineering department. He also served the city of Knoxville with much pride as an explorer. He loved giving to others and being of service.
He is survived by his brothers Jacob Scott Cook and Nicholas Lynn Cook and his mother Alberta (Allie) Cook and father Robert Allen Cook. Aunt Shawna Cook, Aunt Michelle Smallwood (husband Jeff), Aunt Holly Campbell (husband Juan), Grammie Jane L. Cook, great Aunt Chart Short, grandfather Leonard (Doc) Satterfield, and grandmother (who proceeded him and awaited him and greeted him in heaven, Diana R. Satterfield), cousins Megan Thompson (husband AJ, children) Lara Glen (son), Matthew Mahan (wife Carrie, children Mollie and Conner), cousins, Tomi Campbell and Vincent Campbell, and great Aunt Sue Owens.
Zachary’s family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm with his funeral service at 2:00pm at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN .Graveside service and interment will immediately follow in the Berry Highland West Cemetery.
