Troy B. Phillips, Jr., age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Troy was retired from Old Dominion Freight Line, where he received his Million Mile Award. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and friend.
Preceded in death by parents, Troy, Sr. and Katherine Phillips; first wife, Laura Phillips; and son, Gregory Phillips.
Survived by wife, Vera Phillips; daughter, Jill Phillips and husband Glen Miller; grand-daughters, Beth Starnes (Dustin) and Chasidy Masters; great-grandchild, Bradley Howard, Brayden Starnes, Ellie Starnes, Jack Callaway, and Gracie Masters; step-children, Billy Buckner, Lester Buckner, and Karen Loveday; brother, Franklin "Buddy" Phillips and wife Jo Ann; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm Monday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Ricky Howard and Rev.
