Thomas "Jimmy" Allen

Thomas "Jimmy" Allen, age 81, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Jimmy was a 1962 graduate of Central High School in Knoxville, TN. He was always involved in automobile work, from technician to service manager. Jimmy was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He was an avid golfer, baseball player, and sports fan. He played at many courses, but his home course was Whittle Springs. Jimmy was very involved in his children's lives; from coaching baseball to playing golf with them through high school.

Preceded in death by his parents, Buel and Alma Allen; brother, Carroll (Peggy) Allen; brother-in-law, Bill Cate; and loving companion, Sophie.

Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Dalton Allen; sons, Anthony "Tony" (Lisa) Allen, Randall (Robert Jenkins) Allen, Joey (Ann) Allen; sister, Betty Cate; grandson: Bryan (Autumn) and children Aubree, Jayden, and Lydia Jean; granddaughter: Kimberly (Jeremy) Fisher and children Lindsay, McKenzie, and Kaitlyn; granddaughter: Jeanie (Rusty) King and children Jaren and Rustin; granddaughter: Brandy (Ronald) Wilson and daughter Jada; special golfing friend, Neil Clabo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and loving companion, Molly.

A special thank you to Carolyn Woods, Bryan and Sandy Woods, Eustace and Willie Sharpe, and Debbie Lutton.

Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024 for a graveside service at Asbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's in Jimmy's honor.
