Thelma Minerva Nichols

Thelma Minerva Cates Nichols 79, of Knoxville TN formerly of Sevier County, received her Heavenly reward on September 16, 2020. Thelma was of the Baptist faith, and she loved all U.T. sports and playing Scrabble and other board games with her family.

Thelma was greeted inside of the gates of Eternity by her parents, Jessie and Gladys Cunningham Cates Webb; daughters, Kathy Lynn Nichols Meadows, Glenna Eula Nichols Hall; sister, Joyce Irene Hanson Reed; brother, Harold Ray Williams; grandparents, Edith and Earl Cunningham; grandchildren, Sabrina Lynn Bannasch, Robert Bannasch; great-granddaughter, Cora Ann Hall.

She leave to cherish her loving memories her daughters, Margaret "Maggie" Nichols (George Jr.) Ott, Sharon Gail Nichols Hanley (A.J.) Holst; sister, Novella (Wade) Crotts; former husband and friend Robert Glen Nichols; grandchildren, David James Hall, Bethany Michelle Ott, Bridget Ann Ott (Matt) Plummer, Amanda Faye Hall, Jesse David Hanley, Kenny Mack Meadows, Colin Richart; great-grandchildren, Kabella Grace Watson, Amie Kate Plummer, Olivia Kate Smolinsky-Hanley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service to honor the legacy of Thelma will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00am, at Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 Simpson Rd., Knoxville TN 37920, with George Ott Jr. MG to officiate the service.
