Shirley A. Greer

Shirley A. Greer, of Farragut, TN. passed away on August 12, 2021. She was born to Gerald and Anne V. Cox in Wheeling, West Va. During her career as a Registered Nurse, she enjoyed working at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia; University of Pittsburg, Children’s Hospital, in Pittsburg, PA; Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London, CT. and University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. She devoted her career to working at teaching hospitals, where she made many lifelong friends.

She was an avid bridge player, who also loved to go dancing and enjoyed time spent at the beach with family and friends. Any time spent with her children, their spouses and grandchildren were especially cherished. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles M. Schnupp, son Richard Schnupp and husband James Inman Greer. She is survived by her sons, Steven M. (Anita) Schnupp, Cumming, GA; Scott (Betty Dobroski) Schnupp, Alpharetta, GA; Craig (Kelly) Schnupp, Boerne, Tx; daughter Karen S. Schnupp, Knoxville, TN. Her grandchildren, William A. Schnupp, Dallas, TX, Megan (Christian Hyatt) Schnupp, Nashville, TN; Ian Schnupp, Zac Schnupp, Trey Schnupp and Ally Claire Schnupp, all of Boerne, TX. Her Aunt, Mary Harper, Bloomfield, Ct. Sister in Laws, Judy Cox, Leonardtown, MD; Sandee Schnupp, Fairfax, VA and Dorothy Schnupp, King of Prussia, PA; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cavett Hill, NHC Farragut and Caris Healthcare. A Catholic mass will be held at: St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Farragut, TN on Saturday, August 21,2021 at 10:30 AM. A private family burial will be held. Due to the Covid 19 spike, the family requests that masks be worn at the church service.
