Seth was a graduate of Karns High School, Knoxville and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BA in Philosophy. He had 10 years in financial services the bulk of which was with Fidelity Investments in both Knoxville and San Diego, Ca. He was a Certified Financial Planner. He was an active member of West Lonsdale Baptist church, Knoxville, and Fellowship Church Knoxville over 17 years. He will be remembered for his love of Reformed theology, apologetics, debating, running(5ks), Tennessee Football, Peyton Manning, and a quick wit. His family were avid Disney World goers for family vacations and he said, “I’ve probably seen every episode of Bluey.” A close friend said concerning Seth, “we had deep and enjoyable conversations on all things about our savior.”
He is preceded in death by his loving Grandparents Gene and Iva Pippin of Knoxville and Dean and Geraldine Grindstaff of Johnson City, Tn who loved him deeply.
He is survived by son Eli Pippin (7), daughter Emmy Pippin (5), daughter Ella Pippin (3), and daughter Evie Pippin (1). Parents Judge and Jackie Pippin, brother Stephen Pippin. Aunts and Uncles- Gordon and Terry Wright, and Mark and Stacy Watson. Cousins-Maggie Wright, Hannah Wright, Shelby Watson, Kylie Watson, John Goodwin, and Jordan Grindstaff. He was married to Mallory Wallace Pippin for 10 years.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 pm on Friday September 16 at Weaver Funeral Home, Knoxville. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Seth Hammond of Christ Covenant Church, Farragut.
In Lieu of flowers we are recommending donations be made to the College Funds of his 4 children-Eli(5), Emmy(5), Ella(3), and Evie(1). Checks are made to Fidelity Investments with one child's name and 529 such as Eli 529 on the memo line.
