Sam Veals, age 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Sam was a welder and instructor and retired from Modine after 28 years. He was a member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church for over 50 years. Sam is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Veals; children Sam Veals Jr., John Veals, Sandra Veals, Debbie Hicks Veals, Martin Veals and Danny Veals; granddaughter Nicole Veals; parents John and Grace Veals and brothers George, Hubert and Tommy Veals.
He is survived by children Mike (Patti) Veals, George (Tony) Veals, Patricia (Craig) Eicher, and Andrew (Kelly) Veals; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
The family welcomes friends for a Visitation at Berry Highland South on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 4pm-6pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 6pm. Family and friends will meet at Tarklin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 10:45am for an 11am Graveside Service.
