Russell Alfred Cox age 73 of Knoxville, passed away October 5, 2021 at his Hobbit Hole. Having worked in Forest Genetics and tree improvement for 38 years, he was an avid outdoorsman. He found great pleasure in the escape of reading and movies but was never happier than when fishing. He was the best Daddy, big brother and Pop Pop, titles he wore with immense pride. Preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Diane Moran Cox. Survived by daughters, Kathleen Diana Perkins (Drew) and Aundrea Russell Mitchell (Daniel); son, Charles Dylan Cox (Kristen); grandchildren, Ethan, Wyatt, Owen, James, Isaac, Evelyn and Cordelia; brothers, Robert Cox (Kim) and Douglas Moran (Leslie); nieces, Christie (Andrew), Debbie (Ben) and Tracy (Joe).
