Ruby Mae Ridenour was a mother, cherished friend to many, and a sister to seven siblings. (She was the last surviving). More importantly, she was a Christ-follower who loved her Lord. Ruby left this world to be with Jesus, July 20, 2021 at the age of 89. Ruby was born to Charles and Alice Gideon on April 24, 1932. After graduating from high school, she married and had four children, one girl and three boys, Sue, Steve, Larry, and James. While her children were young, Ruby worked at Palm Beach sewing factory as a seamstress and then in the office as an assistant. In her later years, she was a dedicated caregiver to family members and others. Ruby loved children and her most favorite position in the church was serving and teaching Sunday School. Ruby was a member of the Songwriter’s Association, and her joy was using her talent of writing songs to inspire and spread the good news of Jesus. She composed over 20 gospel songs in her writing career. The Graveside service will be 11 am Friday, July 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery with John Wampler and Rev. Dave Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to On Mission with Our Lord.
