Ray Moon, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, attended Sunday School at West Haven Baptist Church, served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII along-side his twin brother, Jay, and was an avid western style square dancer for over fifty years. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Doris King Moon and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, James Ray (Anne) Moon; daughter, Jan (Chuck) Powell; grandchildren, James Ray (Elizabeth) Moon, Jr., Bob (Amy) Moon, Greg (Chris) Moon, Jodi (Rick) Patterson, Chris (Shelly) Powell, Mike Powell; Seventeen great-grandchildren; his partner Eillen Lynch, several nieces and nephews and his loving companion and special dog, Taco. The family will be receiving friends at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2004 Amherst Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37921 on Monday, April 27th from 5-7pm.
